One of China’s most progressive cities, Dalian is located on the shores of the Bohai Gulf     in northeastern China.  Dalian, which is a major manufacturing center, is one of China’s    two largest seafood importing centers.  A thriving city of 6 million people, Dalian can be reached directly via international flights or through China’s transportation gateways of    Hong Kong, Shanghai or Beijing.

Perched on the Liaodong Peninsula bordering the Yellow Sea in northeastern China, Dalian is one of China's most modern and prosperous cities. Dalian is a magnet for both foreign investors and tourists, with several attractive beaches surrounding the city.

Dalian and the nearby cities in southern Liaoning Province have more than 500 seafood processing plants that are ISO and HACCP certified to export. In addition to being a     large center for China’s seafood reprocessing industry,  Dalian and the surrounding area waters of Liaoning Province are the largest producer in China of farmed saltwater finfish   and shellfish, the bulk of which is exported to markets in Asia, North America and the      EU.

Late fall in Dalian is normally dry and temperatures range from 11º to 17º C                    (52º to 62º F).
